I came from the control board. Perfect! I nearly bought a new treadmill as I have a codependent relationship with it (and you think your life sucks…). The selection was simple on the online system, followed up by quick email replies. On top of this there was a comprehensive video provided to do it. Thankfully I am a sparky and correctly identified that the control board had a short circuit as a result of field mice using the hole for the incline motor thread to turn the electrical enclosure into a public toilet. Fired it up perfectly with a new power key and clip I had lost (and jimmied with a coat hanger) and a coating of the silicone oil I never knew they needed (a sparky really should have realised this because I spray silicone on nearly every tool I have (keep your minds out of the gutter, please). I am so bloody happy with this business and it’s so rare as I mostly hate every business I come in contact with . The treadmill always had a flat spot since new and thanks to the silicone line works better than it ever has. Thanks again, customer and your personal business shill for life.
FYI folks: cotton wool with eucalyptus oil and some with peppermint oil in the electronic enclosure now and redone monthly for rodent deterrent. I was going to make an electrified snare with a sticky trap inside it to torture them like they tortured me mentally from lacking the one zone 2 cardio tool I have, but the voice of the late David Attenborough convinced me not to…or perhaps it was Jesus ? In any case. I can sleep at night knowing mice aren’t going near it and I’m not going to hell (for that at least…).
