I signed up to a mixed indoor soccer team recently, and noticed that I was not as agile as I once was. Combine this with my competitive streak and playing against the boys, I really wanted to dial up my training and ensure I give the best version of myself when we play. I have a history with football and used to play at a high level. I benefited from the NordicTrack T8.5’s ability to, at the touch of a button, go from an incline to a flat decline. This made switching from hill sprints to recovery runs on a flat a breeze.
Transitions in training are so important and can be a derailer for me. The wasted time spent going from exercise to exercise can challenge your focus and motivation. Sometimes, less time to think is a good thing. The NordicTrack T8.5, provides support by boasting the Flex Select Cushioning.
Impact when running whether we like it or not is wear and tear on the body, the support and suspension on offer from the NordicTrack T8.5 assists with reducing the impact taken by our joints on each stride. It is not a lot but there are benefits to not always hitting a road run and leveraging some distance running or training related cardio and completing this on a treadmill.
Particularly if you are over 30 years of age in my personal opinion, which I am.
As a mother and I often find myself stretched for time, so being able to train from the comfort of my home is a huge bonus and another selling point for me for the home gym set up. Working from home is the norm in my house. Both my husband and I have at least 2 days working from home, and utilising the garage for our home gym set up reduces the “I don’t have time conversation” and limits procrastination. To be able to jump in and complete our 25>30 minute workout, from the comfort of our home is a massive positive for our health and well-being routine. The treadmill is easy and quick to learn how to use. I would highly recommend this treadmill
